After finding out that my chimney had dangerous cracks that could start an attic fire I was disappointed that I could no longer safely have a fire. After brief research I found that Chimney Doctor has a Fireguard ceramic coating process that fills the cracks and restores the chimney back to being safe to use. They performed the process in a few hours. It's been three years now and it's nice to know that I can have a fire and feel confident that I won't burn my house down! He went above and beyond in our fireplace servicing (we had a couple of unique issues that he addressed without question as a part of the regular service). Perfect Service and a Great Job! We previously had The Chimney Doctor out to clean our chimney and they did a superb job. We recently called The Chimney Doctor to remove an old wood-burning stove, and their work was excellent from start to finish. Scott came out before the removal to thoroughly inspect the stove and chimney, and also to explain the whole process. Scott, Sam, and Josh arrived on time and cleaned our chimney before removing the stove so that removal wouldn’t release any soot. They removed the stove while ensuring that our tile and hardwood floors were protected from any damage. They also hauled the old stove away, which saved us a lot of hassle. While that was happening, they made and installed a new chimney cap on the roof. On the ceiling inside, they framed the hole with new wood and made a custom metal cover. They even picked up some leftover ceiling paint we had and applied a first coat to the cover before they came. After installing the panel, they added a second coat so the screws and edges blended in nicely. They were clear and prompt with the quote, and the bill was ready before they left. As a bonus, Scott and Sam also checked our dryer vent at no charge to make sure it wasn’t a fire hazard.
